Guerrilla Knitting

March 20, 2010

So a couple weeks ago, my co-worker and I were walking around Old City in Philly, and we saw a tree that had a pretty yarn sock wrapped around it. We stood there puzzled as to why it was there, or who had put it there. Today I found the answer: Salty Knits. Apparently it’s a group hipsters who knit (my co-worker calls them knitsters) and they decided to “spruce” up the area a bit (bad pun in air quotes FTW!). Anyway, they have a website and a facebook and everything. I am impressed.

Seriously awesome stuff!
